David Solomont / Founder & CEO / david@evtaas.com
Mr. Solomont has over 40 years experience in the information technology, interactive media and software industries. He is an active investor and advisor to early stage technology companies and was the founder of CommonAngels, Boston, Massachusetts, one of the first institutionalized angel groups in the country. Solomont holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in management from MIT’s Sloan School. He is a founding Trustee and past Chairman of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (formerly the Massachusetts Software Council). He previously served as an Overseer and member of the Information Technology Committee at the Museum of Science, Boston and as Technology Advisor to the Internet Working Group at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Greg Horne / Chief Technology Officer / greg@evtaas.com
Mr. Horne serves as Chief Technology Officer. He will direct evTS’ vehicle development efforts and be responsible for the vision of bringing the new model year FireFly ESV® to market, as well as the company’s future all-electric utility vehicle offerings. Previously, he served as CTO of eFleets Corporation, a design engineer at Bell Helicopter, and he worked on software and flight testing for the Bell/Boeing V-22 Osprey.

 

Jim Sabitus/ Vice President Operations / jim.sabitus@evtaas.com
Mr. Sabitus is evTS’ new Vice President of Operations. He is an experienced corporate executive who has led both emerging and established publicly traded companies. He has previously served as CEO of Row One Brands, Inc.; CFO of Modern Shoe Company; VP Finance for Maxwell Shoe Company; VP Business Development for Myteam.com/Zvia.com; and worked for Converse Inc., where he served as the Brand Manager for several product lines, including the Converse All Star, and as Controller, overseeing a public offering.

Paul Barrett / Vice President of Marketing and Product / paul@evtaas.com
Mr. Barrett serves as evTS’ Vice President of Marketing and Product. Mr. Barrett is an experienced senior executive and serial entrepreneur with 45 years of experience over a progressive career in the automotive and electronics industries. He previously served as COO for Fixed Ops Pros, NavResearch and Cimble Corporation and also held numerous positions over a 20+ year tenure at LoJack Corporation, including VP of International Operations.

 

Eric Burmeister / VP of Sales & Business Development / eric@evtaas.com
Mr. Burmeister serves evTS as VP of Sales & Business Development. Mr. Burmeister has held numerous executive sales positions within the specialized vehicle industry. He was previously the Director of National Sales and Business Development for Westward Industries and held both national and regional sales positions with eFleets Corporation, ZENN Motor Company and Global Electric Motors (GEM).

 

Michael Tepfer / VP of Manufacturing Engineering / michael@evtaas.com
Mr. Tepfer is evTS’ VP of Manufacturing Engineering and is also President of Integrity Global Manufacturing, Ltd. with locations In Idaho and Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. He has 30 years’ experience in Project management and overseas business; Quality Management including in-process quality, ISO qualification, and supplier quality management; Operations Management including capacity planning, productivity improvement; and, Design for Manufacturability and cost reduction. Integrity Global is a western run factory, manufacturing in a China, with western manufacturing and quality processes for steel fabrication, and component machining and sourcing with industry specific expertise in aircraft machined assemblies and components, food processing machined components, MEWP fabrication, assembly, machining, welding, tooling and design. All of Integrity’s manufacturing output is for export, currently to the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Todd Marcucci / Director of Customer Satisfaction / todd.marcucci@evtaas.com
Mr. Marcucci was the VP of Research & Development for eFleets Corporation. He assembled and led the team that designed, produced, and supported the FireFly ESV. He has also worked as a consultant on a number of other projects related to EV powertrain and traction battery design and testing for several different EV manufacturers. Prior to his work in the automotive field, he managed the worldwide lab operations for Littelfuse, Inc., responsible for circuit protection device characterization and customer applications testing at multiple global facilities. Mr. Marcucci began his career working in electrical hardware design for the telecommunications company Reltec Corp., a division of Marconi Communications. Throughout his career, he has coordinated engineering activities with sales, marketing, and production for each of the companies with which he has worked. Mr. Marcucci has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Joel Davis / Director of Comm. Software Development / joel.davis@evtaas.com Inspired entrepreneur and successful leader with over 20 years of experience bridging the need for cost effective software solutions through emerging technologies. Joel brings experience in building custom enterprise solutions in the automotive, analytics, and telematics fields by providing both hardware and software IoT packages. Experience and skills include: Manage development and technology teams effectively; Build out best practices for client implementations; Comprehensive experience in all leading development methodologies; SME for artificial intelligence and business intelligence into technology solutions

Corey Clothier / Advisor, Automated Mobility Systems
Corey Clothier, a leading global strategic consultant focused on safe automated vehicle deployment and market development. For 10-years, Mr. Clothier served in the U.S. Marines. Mr. Clothier was among the first Marine computer technicians on F/A-18 fighter jets, then was selected for promotion and trained as a fighter jet pilot. Mr. Clothier holds a bachelors degree in aircraft engineering from Northrop University and an MBA from Baker College. Mr. Clothier draws on his experience in the corporate sector working on high level projects for Cosworth, GM test labs, Lear, Ford and DARPA. In addition, Mr. Clothier spent over six years focusing on strategic development consulting for the U.S. Army Robotics Research and Development Center, where he initiated collaborative autonomous vehicle projects with other federal agencies and the commercial sector. Mr. Clothier was honored to present the ARIBO program at the White House. Mr. Clothier co-developed the US Army program, ARIBO (Autonomous Robotics for Installation and Base Operations), which was a featured Smart America Challenge project and has now expanded to the White House supported Global Cities Challenge. Largely due to Mr. Clothier’s leadership, ARIBO has become an internationally significant collaborative strategy with U.S. Departments of Defense, Energy and Transportation working together to accelerate the self-driving market development. Mr. Clothier, is among the most active developers of automated mobility systems. Mr. Clothier leads projects with smart cities, campus owners, airports, planning companies and AV developers. He led many of the 1st level-4 public/private AV demos in the US, for example: West Point Military Academy, Disney, Facebook, the 1st AV at Detroit Auto Show (2015) and the 1st AV demo at CES (2014). Mr. Clothier also initiated and led the planning of the 1st AV pilot in the US at Fort Bragg, NC. Mr. Clothier is currently working on over 6 AV pilots for cities such as, Tampa, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Houston, etc. Mr. Clothier also develops strategy for vehicle manufacturers and AV developers. He led the development of Local Motors Olli and is currently supporting the development of a new automated vehicle with a well-known OEM. Mr. Clothier’s passion is also his mission: to accelerate the development and deployment of low to mid-speed automated mobility systems globally.

Scott Alan Miller / Advisor
Mr. Miller is Vice President Worldwide Business Operations at ChargePoint. He has more than 20 years of B2B technology sales and service management experience with such companies as Oracle, where he was Vice President & General Manager North American Operations, SPL WorldGroup, as VP EMEA Utilities Global Business Unit, and Empirix as VP Europe. Scott holds an MBA in Industrial Marketing from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University.

 

Bill Bachrach / Director
Dr. William Bachrach was most recently Senior Vice President, MTS Sensors Division. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of ROAM Data, a leading mobile applications, hardware and payment gateway service provider. Prior to ROAM Data, Dr. Bachrach was the President of Murata Power Solutions (formerly C&D Technologies Power Systems), a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Company Ltd of Japan, a $180 million supplier of board mounted power and power electronics, from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that time, Dr. Bachrach held various management and business leadership positions with WAY Systems, KEMET Electronics Corporation, InphoMatch and the General Electric Company. Dr. Bachrach earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University; a Ph.D. and M.S. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Northwestern University; and an M.S. in the Management of Technology from the Sloan School of Management, MIT.

Robert R. Beuret / Director
Mr. Beuret began his career on Wall Street in 1969 with EF Hutton & Co. (New York, Boston and New Orleans), where he served in several sales management and senior management roles. In 1977, Mr. Beuret became Regional Vice President and a limited partner in Oppenheimer & Co. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where his responsibilities included the creation of several retail offices as well as initiating investment opportunities for partners of the firm. In 1980, Mr. Beuret became Senior Vice President for Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (“DLJ”) in New York with responsibility for domestic and foreign offices of the firm. Throughout the period of 1975 to 1983, Mr. Beuret also started several entrepreneurial ventures including financial services firms and the Art Deco Hotels in Miami Beach, Florida. Since 1983, Mr. Beuret has focused on micro-cap investing generally with his own brokerage firms and has served in senior management positions for such firms as AG Edwards and First Albany. Mr. Beuret was affiliated with CP Baker & Co from 2003 – 2008 and continued his focus on venture and micro-cap investment opportunities for the Anasazi Funds. Mr. Beuret is a graduate of Cornell University and received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
